Lifeline provides all Australians with 24/7 access to crisis support and suicide prevention services.

You can get help from a trained Lifeline Crisis Supporter by:

Suicide Call Back Service is a free nationwide service providing 24/7 phone and online counselling to people at risk of or affected by suicide. Support is delivered by trained Lifeline counsellors.

Call 1800 55 1800 to speak with a Suicide Call Back Service counsellor, or call 000 if it is an emergency.

Beyond Blue supports people experiencing symptoms of emotional distress as well as those supporting someone who is.
Contact Beyond Blue for 24/7 counselling support by:

MensLine Australia offers free professional 24/7 telephone counselling support for men with concerns about mental health, relationships, anger management, family violence (using and experiencing), stress, and suicidal thoughts.

Access support from MensLine Australia by:

13 Yarn provides a support service for Aboriginal and Torres Strait Islander people who are going through a tough time and feel like having a yarn.

Access support from 13 YARN by:

  • Calling 13 92 76 for a free and confidential talk with an Aboriginal or Torres Strait Islander Crisis Supporter

1800 Respect provides 24/7 access to support for people experiencing, or know someone experiencing, sexual assault or domestic and family violence.

National Relay Service
The NRS makes 24/7 crisis support services (like those listed above) accessible to people with a disability, who find it difficult to hear or speak. Contact the NRS online and give the details of the service you wish to access.

Translating and Interpreting Service
The TIS makes 24/7 crisis support services (like those listed above) accessible to people who wish to communicate in a language other than English. Call TIS on 131 450 and ask them to connect to the service you wish to access. Alternatively, call one of the services listed above and ask for an interpreter or translator.

Most of our appointments are available 7 days (or more) in advance. We understand there are times you might need to speak with a Support For Lawyers therapist sooner.
